Prof. Dr. Sajjad Muhammad, a German Qualified Neurosurgeon Deliver an informative lecture on "Research related to Nervous System" in Faculty of Pharmacy

Esteemed and valuable Guest Prof. Dr. SAJJAD MUHAMMAD, who is a German qualified specialist Neurosurgeon with both surgical and scientific background with over 9 years of professional experience at the University Hospital covering whole spectrum of Neurosurgery. He has surgical skills and expertise in general Neurosurgery including degenerative spine diseases, intracranial tumors and traumatology with more than 700 independently/under supervision performed procedures. 

His scientific interests are focused on interactions between central nervous system and immune system in neurovascular diseases. He has published 24 peer reviewed articles including key papers in high impact journals including Nature Communications (2014), Stroke (2011 & 2016), J. Neuroscience (2006 & 2008), Nature Medicine (2005), JCBFM (2010), Neuroscience (2010), FASEB J (2010) and Neuromodulation (2017) with total impact factor of 112.

He has working experience as a Specialist Neurosurgeon at University Hospital Bonn, Germany. 

He completed his Post-Doctoral Fellow (Young Investigator Award) in 

December 2010 at Faculty of Medicine University of Heidelberg, Germany (Prof. Dr. Markus Schwanin-ger/ Prof. Dr. Stefan Offermanns). 

He worked as Scientific Assistant at the Max-Planks Institute for medical 

research, Heidelberg from 2002 to 2004 (Prof. Bert Sakmann)
